Signe Birck is a food and lifestyle photographer, based in Brooklyn, NY since 2012.

Born and raised in Denmark, Signe combines the best of her two worlds in her work: a refined Scandinavian sensitivity, with an edgy, NYC spirit.

Signe has worked professionally as a photographer for nearly 20 years. The first four years as a paid apprentice, being given a unique-to-Denmark education based on immediate hands-on work with a designated photo studio, combined with University-level theoretical courses, including extensive post-production training. 

After graduation she worked at various commercial/advertising photo studios in and around Copenhagen, gaining solid experience with high paced, high volume image production for clients within the food and lifestyle space. 

In early 2012, she decided to try her wings in NYC, where she has lived and worked ever since, collaborating with high-end Chefs and restaurants, as well as shooting books, editorial, travel, and more. 

Lately, she has reconnected more with her advertising background, rekindling her love for interior photography – which was the base of her training – and other areas of the field, such as portraits, still life, and personal, conceptual projects.
